Identity Of Deceased From Thursday’s Deadly Vehicle Crash Released

The Sheriff’s Office says it’s still investigating.

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation into a deadly crash Thursday morning north of Frederick city.

Deputies say a Toyota Highlander operated by Wilie Hensley, Jr., 78, of Thurmont was traveling along Devilbiss Bridge Road. It turned south on to Old Frederick Road and ran into the path of a Mack dump truck. Both vehicles collided.

Hensley was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

A passenger in the Highlander, was medivaced to a trauma center and was reported to be in stable condition. The dump truck driver was evaluated at the scene,  but refused treatment.
