Baltimore, Md (KM) The Maryland Public Service Commission is holding a virtual public hearing on Monday, June 23rd beginning at 6:30 PM on a proposed five-megawatt solar facility in Frederick County. Public Utility Law Judge Kristin Case Lawrence will preside.
The hearing will center around the solar project proposed for 12208 Clyde Young Road in Woodsboro. Clyde Young Road Solar applied to the PSC in February for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity. That will allow the construction and operation of the project which will occupy 21-acres of a 37-acre site.
The PSC says anyone who wants to testify at the hearing needs to sign up at the Calendly app on the Commission’s website at www.psc.state.md.us. . The deadline is Friday, June 20th, 2025. Once the sign up process is complete, citizens will receive a ZOOM link. The hearing can be viewed on the PSC”s YouTube channel at hpps://bit.ly/2x6wLIP.
