Frederick, Md (KM) The trial of Keon Naki Wilson Hawkins, 21, entered its third day on Wednesday.
He is charged with 1st-degree murder, conspiracy to commit 1st-degree murder, kidnapping and carjacking in connection with the death of Brice Boots, 65, of Pikesville. He was found deceased inside an SUV in a field off of Crum Road in Walkersville in January. 2024.
The State’s Attorney’s Office says prosecutors continued to call witnesses on Wednesday, including law enforcement officers, detectives and friends of the victim.
The trial is scheduled to resume on Thursday at 9:00 AM with the state calling more witnesses to the stand. The proceedings could end a little earlier in the day due to the upcoming Independence Day Holiday, the State’s Attorney’s Office says.
