Accident Kills 6-Month Old Infant In Frederick County On Woodsboro Pike

The accident happened when an SUV crashed into a pole and house

Frederick, Md. (DG) – Maryland State Police are investigating a tragic single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a six-month-old infant Sunday morning in Frederick County.

Troopers responded just before 11 a.m. to the 12000 block of Woodsboro Pike, where a Dodge Durango had struck a telephone pole and then crashed into an unoccupied home.

The infant was flown to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center but later died. A 3-year-old boy and a 26-year-old woman were also injured and taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The driver was not hurt, and police say impairment is not suspected. The Maryland State Police Crash Team is handling the ongoing investigation.
