Jury Gets Wilson-Hawkins Case In Frederick

He is charged with a murder in 2024.

Frederick, Md (KM)  It’s back to work Wednesday morning for the jury in the trial of Keon Naki Wilson-Hawkins, 21. . He is charged with 1st-degree murder, conspiracy to commit 1st-degree murder, kidnapping and carjacking for the death of Brice Boots, 65, of Pikesville. The victim’s body was found in an SUV parked in a field off of Crum Road in Walkersville in January, 2024.

Wilson-Hawkins has been on trial since Monday of last week.

The State’s Attorney’s Office says prosecutors continued calling witnesses through Tuesday morning, and then  rested its case. . The defense called one witness, and then asked Circuit Court Judge Scott Rolle to acquit Wilson-Hawkins. The request was denied.

The jury got the case on Tuesday afternoon and began deliberating. It went home for the day later that afternoon without reaching a verdict.

The panel is expected back at the Court House at 9:00 AM to resume deliberations.
