This follows last week’s hospitalizations after a large number of overdoses in Baltimore.

Frederick, Md (KM) The City of Frederick says it’s monitoring developments from Baltimore where 27 people were hospitalized for drug overdoses last week.
Officials say the city along with Frederick County and the State are working to make sure all jurisdictions in Maryland are prepared in case similar incidents take place locally.. First responders are trained to manage these types of incidents and are equipped with life saving tools such as naloxone or Narcan. .
The Health Department says nalaxone is available at self-service boxes around the county. `This medication can reverse the affects of an opioid overdose.
Anyone experiencing a crisis and in need of support can call 988, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The call is free.
