Montgomery County Police are investigating.
Dickerson, Md (KM) A Florida woman in Maryland visiting her family was fatally shot last week.
On Friday, September 12th just after 4:00 PM, , Montgomery County Police say officers were dispatched to the 23000 block of Mount Ephraim Road in Dickerson for reports of a shooting. They found Abby Elaine Dunn, 55, of Tallahassee in an upstairs bedroom with a gunshot wound to the thigh.
They performed life-staving measures on Dunn until medics arrive. She was taken to the hospital. Police say she died the next day, Saturday, September 13th.
Her body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy
The incident remains under investigation by Montgomery County Police. No charges have been filed at this time.
