Frederick, Md. (DG) – Candles, prayers, and music filled Baker Park Thursday evening as the Frederick community came together to honor Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated last week in Utah.
Hundreds attended the vigil, carrying American flags and joining in song as bagpipes played “God Bless America” and “Amazing Grace.” The event was marked by a peaceful and solemn atmosphere, with community members offering condolences to Kirk’s family.
Yesterday it was also announced that Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, will take over as the new CEO of Turning Point USA, ensuring his work and legacy continue.
