Overnight Work Expected To Close Eastbound I-70 Near Clear Spring

SHA says crews  will be  doing some shoulder improvements.

Clear Spring, Md (KM) Some overnight work is expected to take place this weekend on Interstate 70 in the Clear Spring area of Washington County.

The State Highway Administration says shoulder improvement work will occur  along eastbound I-70 at Clear Spring Road (Md. 68 East) starting at 8:00 PM.    As a result, that section of I-70 will be closed. Traffic will be detoured from Saint Paul Road to Clear Spring Road (Md 68) to US Route 11 (Greencastle Pike) in Williamsport to Greencastle Road (Md 63) and back to eastbound I-70.

SHA strongly urges motorists to be cautious while the work is underway.

The contractor for the project, Triton Construction, Inc., of Saint. Albans, WV, will use signs, construction barrels and cones to safely guide motorists  through  the work zone.

The project is expected to be completed by Saturday, October 11th weather permitting.
