Northbound bridge over MD 77 will undergo surface repairs, with potential delays for motorists.
Thurmont, MD (JK) –The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will conduct surface improvement work on the northbound US 15 bridge over MD 77 (W. Main Street) in Thurmont over the next two weekends.
Work will begin Friday, October 17 at 7 p.m., closing the left lane and shoulder to traffic. The lane will reopen by 5 a.m. on Monday, October 20. The same schedule will continue the following weekend, from 7 p.m. Friday, October 24, through 5 a.m. Monday, October 27. Weather delays could push work to a third weekend.
Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible. Drivers are also reminded to watch for reduced speed limits and changing traffic patterns through the work zone.
