Leesburg Police Investigating Distribution of KKK Flyers in Downtown Area

Authorities urge residents to review surveillance footage for possible leads.

Leesburg, VA (JK) — Police in Leesburg are investigating after flyers referencing the Ku Klux Klan were found scattered throughout the downtown area early Saturday morning.

Officers say the flyers were discovered inside small zip-lock style bags weighted with rocks along Loudoun Street SW, South King Street, and East Market Street. Multiple flyers were collected as evidence after police canvassed the area.

The Leesburg Police Department strongly condemned the distribution of any material that promotes hate or intolerance, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming community for all residents and visitors.

Investigators are asking residents and business owners in the downtown area to check security camera footage from between midnight and 6 a.m. Saturday for any suspicious activity that could help identify those responsible.
