Frederick County Grand Jury Indicts Eight On Friday

One is a supplemental indictment.

Frederick, Md (KM) Eight indictments were returned on Friday by the Frederick County Grand Jury. One was a supplemental indictment against Donta Shawn Allen, 26, of Baltimore who is already charged with drug offenses. This additional indictment charges Allen with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and possession of a large amount of fentanyl.

He was arrested following a traffic stop on evening of July 15th, 2025 along Route 340 near Route 180. The Sheriff’s Office says the deputy who initiated the stop was suspicious of possible drug activity, and asked that a canine be brought to the scene. The dog indicated the presence of narcotics.. A search of Allen’s vehicle netted 385 grams of suspected cocaine packaged in multiple bags. He was taken into custody.

Other indictments returned on Friday:

*Timothy Allen Mills, 20, and Ethan Todd Lewis, 31, both of Smithsburg. The two men  are charged as co-defendants with robbery, 2nd-degree assault and theft between $100 and $1500 for an offense which occurred on August 27th, 2025.

*Christian David Messenger, 21, of Frederick, Md who is charged with 2nd-degree burglary, 4th-degree burglary; 4th-degree burglary-theft; theft less than $100; trespassing on posted property; and two counts of malicious destruction of property less than $1,000 for an offense which occurred on September 29th, 2025.

*Brandon Lee Hunt; 39, of Frederick, Md, who is charged possession of a large amount of narcotics; possession with intent to distribute; possession of fentanyl; possession of cocaine; and hindering and obstructing  for an offense which occurred on October 6th, 2025.

*Robert Ryan Springer, 32, of Waynesboro, Pa., who is charged with possessing a rifle or shotgun with a felony conviction; possession of firearms; violating a pre-trial condition in a crime of violence for an offense which occurred on October 4th, 2025.

*Jacob Enrique Robert Diaz, 28, of Frederick, Md. who is charged with 1st-degree assault; two counts of 2nd-degree assault; a crime of violence against a pregnant person; and reckless endangerment for an offense which occurred on July 25th, 2025.

*William Joseph Ping, 30. of Frederick, Md , who is charged with three counts of 1st-degree assault;  2nd-degree assault, three counts of a crime of violence against a pregnant person; and reckless endangerment for an offense which occurred on August 4th, 2025.

These indictments issued on Friday move these cases to the Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.

The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says indictments are charging documents alleging criminal conduct, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
