Frederick, Md (KM) A man from Canada was arrested in Frederick last week on three counts of sexual solicitation of a minor. Police say Mark Douglas Pridgeon, 49, of Nova Scotia was taken into custody earlier this month. He is currently being held without bond at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
Authorities say Pridgeon had traveled to the United States numerous times for business purposes; but in September, investigators say they learned of some criminal activity. He came back to Frederick on October 21st, and checked into a hotel. Police say Pridgeon had arranged to meet an individual who he thought was a minor for the purpose of sexual activity. .
He left his hotel room, Shortly after that, he was taken into custody without incident.
