The defendant also pleaded to driving under the influence.

Frederick, Md (KM) A Walkersville man entered a plea Friday morning in Frederick County Circuit Court for attempting to kidnap two girls earlier this year. The State’s Attorney’s Office says Gary Lee Plummer, 55, entered an alford plea to the charges of attempted abduction of a child under 12, and driving under the influence. An alford plea is where the defendant doesn’t admit guilt, but acknowledges the prosecution has enough evidence for a conviction.
Plummer was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop in the 8700 block Woodsboro Pike on April 30th.. Later on, two girls said Plummer tried to accost them as they were walking near the area of the traffic stop. They also said he tried to pull one of the girls into his car, but was not successful.
The State’s Attorney says no sentencing date has been scheduled.
