When they arrived, they found two masked persons hiding near the front door of a home.  The two were wearing dark clothing, gloves and face coverings. They fled into a wooded area behind the home when deputies approached.

A nearby resident reported that the two ran through his yard, causing property damage. Additional deputies were dispatched to the scene,.

With the help of a drone and the State Police helicopter, deputies were able to locate Gentry and Cooper.   Authorities also say Cooper attempted to provide a false name to deputies.

“This is a strong response and an effective follow-up by our deputes in apprehending the individuals involved,” says Sheriff Chuck Jenkins, in a statement. “Our deputies quickly recognized that a potential burglary was unfolding. There’s also a clear message for anyone coming into Frederick County with the intent to commit a crime. It likely won’t end well–just as it didn’t for these two individuals.”
