He remains in custody awaiting a bond hearing.

Rockville, Md. (DG) – Authorities in Montgomery County say a Silver Spring teenager is facing serious charges after a gun was found at Northwood High School.

Police were called to the school on Old Georgetown Road Friday morning around 8:20 a.m. following reports of a fight between two students. A witness told staff that one student appeared to be armed.

When officers searched 17-year-old Isaiah Gaunt, they found a loaded 3D-printed handgun tucked in his waistband. Gaunt was arrested without incident and is now charged as an adult with multiple offenses, including possession of a firearm by a minor and carrying a loaded handgun on school property.

He remains in custody at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and is awaiting a bond hearing.
