Henry Groulx treats himself to a Ravens-themed ticket and scores a second-tier Maryland Lottery prize.
Smithsburg, MD (JK) – This holiday season, Henry Groulx of Smithsburg gave himself a gift he won’t forget – $50,000. A devoted Baltimore Ravens fan and scratch-off enthusiast, Groulx picked up a few $10 Ravens X10 tickets, one of which turned out to be a second-tier winner.
On Christmas morning, while opening presents in his living room, Groulx checked his tickets using the Maryland Lottery app. The notification suggested a big win, so he double-checked at the store where he purchased the ticket. The confirmation revealed a $50,000 payday.
Groulx claimed his prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore on December 30. For now, he plans to continue his federal job, work on cars in his garage, and cheer on the Ravens – now with a little extra holiday cash in his pocket.
