Fire reported in a underground power vault.

Frederick, Md (KM) No injuries were reported from an explosion in downtown Frederick Monday night.
According to the Frederick Scanner Facebook page, fire and rescue crews responded to the area of South Market Street and East All Saints Street just before 7:00 PM where they found a possible underground power vault on fire. They also had a working fire in storm drain, and a power outage in the downtown.
Potomac Edison was asked to respond along with the gas company.
Frederick Police reminded residents to avoid the area.
Crews forced entry into a home in the 100 block of South Market Street to check for extension.
Potomac Edison crews arriving at the scene worked to restore power, and fire crews spent their time battling the fire in a storm drain.
By 8:35 PM, Potomac Edison had secured the power while fire fighters put out the flames.
The Frederick Scanner reports that by 10:00 PM, most fire and rescue units had clear the scene, but some fire fighters remained to assist Potomac Edison. South Market Street and East All Saints Street were closed for an extended period of time.
