West Virginia Man Arrested After I-81 Road Rage Shooting

Charles Town, WV (DG) – A Jefferson County man is facing multiple felony charges after authorities say he fired a gun at another vehicle in a road rage incident.

Officials report that 35-year-old Roger Chason of Summit Point, West Virginia, was arrested following the June 18, 2025, shooting on I-81 southbound in Shenandoah County, Virginia. Police say Chason allegedly fired a shot from his Ford F-150 at a Jeep Wagoneer. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.

Chason now faces charges including shooting from a vehicle and shooting at an occupied vehicle. He is currently being held in West Virginia pending extradition to Virginia.
