Police Use Drone to Nab Suspect in Montgomery County Peeping Tom Case

Rockville, Md. (DG) – A Silver Spring man is behind bars after police say he carried out a series of disturbing incidents across Montgomery County. Detectives have charged 32-year-old Steven Adams with indecent exposure, peeping tom offenses, assault, and trespassing, following multiple reports between mid-December and early January.

Investigators say Adams exposed himself on four separate occasions along McCullough Lane and Silkcotton Way in Gaithersburg. Through their investigation, detectives identified Adams as the suspect and discovered he had a previous arrest for peeping tom incidents in 2022.

Police say the case came to a head January 20th, when officers used a drone to monitor Adams behind an apartment complex on Gramercy Boulevard in Derwood. After attempting to flee, Adams was captured following a brief foot chase. He’s being held without bond as the investigation continues.
