Frederick, MD (JK) – The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office has charged four individuals in connection with an armed robbery that took place earlier this year in Frederick.
The investigation began on February 19, 2026, after a victim reported being approached by two suspects and robbed at gunpoint in the 7200 block of Corporate Court. During the incident, a handgun and other personal property were stolen.
Detectives later recovered the stolen firearm on March 5 while serving a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of West South Street as part of a separate firearms investigation.
Following further investigation, authorities identified four suspects: 17-year-old Demarion Scott, who is being charged as an adult; 18-year-old Josiah James-Moore; 21-year-old Deantoine Gaines Jr.; and 18-year-old Sherria Teasley, all of Frederick.
Scott and James-Moore were already in custody on unrelated firearms charges when the new warrants were issued.
On April 9, detectives executed additional search warrants at locations on Dogwood Drive and Gresham Court East. Gaines was taken into custody during the operation, and investigators recovered a Polymer80 handgun without a serial number, commonly referred to as a ghost gun. Additional evidence connected to the robbery was also located.
Teasley was arrested on April 16 on her outstanding warrant.
In addition to robbery-related charges, Gaines is also facing a charge for possession of a firearm without a serial number.
