Germantown, MD (JK) – A 17-year-old Germantown resident is facing multiple felony charges after Montgomery County police connected him to a shooting that sent bullets into several homes last fall.
Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police 5th District Investigative Section have charged Jaden Proctor as an adult in connection with the November 27, 2025 incident on the 20500 block of Staffordshire Drive.
Officers responded just before 4:50 a.m. to reports of gunfire and recovered multiple shell casings at the scene. Investigators determined that four homes were struck by bullets, with rounds entering several bedrooms. One of those rooms was occupied by a sleeping child at the time. No injuries were reported.
Proctor was initially arrested on December 17, 2025, on unrelated outstanding warrants. Police say a firearm was recovered during that arrest, leading to additional weapons charges.
On April 16, 2026, authorities issued a warrant charging Proctor in connection with the November shooting. The charges include attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, and multiple firearms-related offenses.
Proctor is currently being held at the Central Processing Unit as the case moves forward.
