Leesburg, Va. (DG) – A substitute teacher in Loudoun County is facing charges after authorities say online threats were made against a local high school.
Investigators say 19-year-old Hadyn Dollery of Chantilly was taken into custody April 20 following a report submitted through the Safe2Talk app. Officials say the threats referenced bodily harm and targeted John Champe High School on an online platform. Deputies located the suspect off school grounds and made the arrest without incident. Dollery, who had been working as a non-licensed substitute during the current school year, has since been removed from the district’s substitute list.
Authorities say the suspect is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. Officials have not released details about the specific nature of the threats but stress that all reports involving school safety are taken seriously.
