Frederick, Md. (DG) – A late-night crash in Frederick County has left one person dead and another injured.
Deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office responded around 10 p.m. Monday, April 27th, to northbound Route 85 near Spectrum Drive for a reported two-vehicle collision. Investigators say a Suzuki motorcycle, operated by 23-year-old Christoph Kenny of Ijamsville, rear-ended a Honda passenger vehicle.
Kenny was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency crews, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda was taken to a local hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate and is asking anyone with information to come forward.
