Frederick, MD (JK) – A Frederick County judge has sentenced 25-year-old Adam Christopher Jaikaran of Germantown to 20 years in prison, with all but five years suspended, in connection with the sexual assault of a Frederick County 13-year-old middle school student.
Judge Julie Stevenson Solt handed down the sentence May 22 in Frederick County Circuit Court. Jaikaran pleaded guilty in October 2025 and will receive credit for time served since his arrest in August 2024.
According to investigators, the case began on November 8, 2023, when a Frederick County Sheriff’s Office school resource officer was notified after a student disclosed she had been sexually assaulted. Detectives later determined the assault occurred during the early morning hours of November 5, 2023, at a Frederick County park.
Authorities said the victim and several juvenile friends had met Jaikaran after communicating with him through Snapchat. Witnesses provided investigators with photographs, a vehicle description and a temporary registration tag linked to a white Tesla. Detectives later confirmed the vehicle belonged to Jaikaran.
Search warrants for Tesla location data reportedly placed the vehicle near the park during the timeframe of the assault. Investigators also used witness interviews and other evidence to corroborate the timeline and identify the suspect.
Upon release from prison, Jaikaran will be required to complete five years of supervised probation under COMET supervision, which includes GPS monitoring for high-risk offenders. He must also register as a sex offender for 25 years.
