The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after a Sterling woman was indicted in an alleged rental fraud scheme.
Forty-five-year-old Kimberly Vu was indicted by a Loudoun County grand jury on 26 charges, including obtaining money by false pretenses. Investigators say Vu posed as a real estate agent and advertised homes, townhouses, and rooms for rent. Authorities allege she collected security deposits and first month’s rent payments from victims, but never provided the promised housing.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are encouraging anyone with information to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
