Police in Hagerstown have arrested a suspect after a stabbing left one man injured but expected to recover.
Officers were called to the 100 block of North Prospect Street shortly after 8:30 Monday morning for reports of a stabbing. A 56-year-old Hagerstown resident was found with multiple stab wounds and was transported to Meritus Medical Center. Police say his injuries were not life-threatening. The suspect, identified as 65-year-old Ronnie Melson of Hagerstown, allegedly stabbed the victim after a verbal dispute.
Investigators say the two men were known to each other. Melson was later apprehended without incident and transported to the Washington County Detention Center.
