Maryland’s primary election is now in the books, and the results are beginning to shape the key races voters will decide in November. Republican Dan Cox appears headed for a rematch with Democratic Governor Wes Moore.
Republican Robin Ficker will challenge Democratic Congresswoman April McClain Delaney in the Sixth District race.
In Frederick County, Republican William Holtzinger will face Democrat Jessica Fitzwater in November for County Executive.
Republicans Pamela Ciliberti and Jack Felton will compete against Democrats Tiffany Grant and Renee Knapp for the at-large County Council seats.
In District 1- Republican Frank Hollewa faces Democrat Louisa Conklin.
District 2 Republican Dan Iampieri will be challenging Democract Jamie Shopland.
For District 3 Republican Tammie Baugher takes on Democract Christian Benford.
Republican Sheriff Chuck Jenkins advances to face Democrat Karl Bickel in the general election.
The top five Board of Education finishers are Heather Fletcher, Casey Davis, Shelley Potter, Rae Gallagher and Dean Rose.
Mail-in ballot counting will now begin..
