Middletown, PA (JK) – Someone who purchased a Pennsylvania Lottery Scratch-Off ticket in Greencastle could soon be celebrating a life-changing win.
The Pennsylvania Lottery announced that MARTIN’S, located at 500 North Antrim Way in Greencastle Borough, sold a top-prize $1,000,000 a Year for Life Scratch-Off ticket.
The retailer will receive a $100,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Lottery officials have not yet announced whether the ticket has been claimed or identified the winner.
The $50 Scratch-Off game gives winners the option of receiving $1 million per year for life or taking a $14.5 million lump-sum cash option, before applicable tax withholdings.
The Pennsylvania Lottery reminds players to sign the back of any winning ticket immediately and contact the Lottery to begin the claims process. Officials also note that Scratch-Off tickets are distributed randomly, meaning retailers do not know they have sold a winning ticket until it is claimed.
