Chambersburg, PA (JK) – A man is in custody after an armed robbery Monday morning at the Wendy’s on Wayne Avenue in Chambersburg.
Police say the robbery happened around 10:38 a.m. when a man wearing a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey allegedly displayed a knife and demanded money from a cashier before leaving the restaurant on foot and heading toward Brandon Drive.
Investigators initially released a photo of a person of interest and asked the public for help identifying him.
Around 3:15 p.m. Monday, Chambersburg Police located the man within the borough and took him into custody.
Police say the investigation remains active and additional information, including possible charges, will be released after the investigation is complete.
