A 53-year-old Frederick County woman will spend up to 40 years in prison for sexually abusing a minor and producing child pornography.
Rebecca Wightman was sentenced Monday in Frederick County Circuit Court to 60 years, with all but 40 years suspended. Wightman pleaded guilty in February. The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation began after a report of a past sex offense in August 2025. Police were shown video evidence of the abuse, and the juvenile victim described about ten separate incidents over the course of a year.
Wightman later admitted the offenses to investigators. Upon release, she will serve five years of supervised probation and remain under lifetime sex offender supervision and registration.
