
Police have arrested a Hagerstown man after a shooting that left a 26-year-old victim hospitalized in stable condition.
Officers responded to the 500 block of George Street at approximately 2:24 Monday morning and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Meritus Medical Center by Community Rescue Service and underwent surgery. According to investigators, an altercation took place before the suspect left the scene, then returned and shot the victim.
Thirty-three-year-old Kyron Sapp Junior was apprehended less than three hours later. Sapp is facing attempted first- and second-degree murder charges, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and handgun-related charges.
