Frederick police have arrested a suspect in the investigation into an August 9th shooting in the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
Detectives carried out a search warrant August 18th at an apartment complex on Hamilton Avenue and took Jacoby Oljuwon Sampson Junior into custody. Police say evidence connected to the shooting was recovered during the search. Investigators determined Sampson discharged a firearm during the exchange and believe another person also fired a weapon.
An adult female and a juvenile male were wounded, but their injuries were not considered life-threatening. Sampson is charged with first-degree assault, firearm and handgun violations, possession of a firearm by a minor, and reckless endangerment.
He remains held without bond as the investigation continues.
