A Hagerstown man is facing multiple drug and firearm charges following the execution of a search warrant Tuesday as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
The Washington County Narcotics Task Force says investigators served the warrant August 18 in the 400 block of Gandy Dancer Court in Hagerstown. Authorities report that investigators recovered approximately 478.7 grams of powdered cocaine, a Glock 43X semi-automatic handgun, nearly $15,000 in U.S. currency and various items of alleged drug paraphernalia.
28-year-old Christopher Khalil Gill of Hagerstown was arrested and charged with cocaine possession, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a large amount of cocaine, a firearm offense related to drug trafficking and maintaining a common nuisance for the distribution of cocaine. Gill appeared before a District Court Commissioner and was ordered held without bond at the Washington County Detention Center, according to the Narcotics Task Force.
The investigation involved the Washington/Baltimore HIDTA Region, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Hagerstown Police Department, Washington County Special Response Team, drone teams from the sheriff’s office and Hagerstown Police, and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
Authorities continue to encourage anyone with information about illegal drug activity to contact the Washington County Narcotics Task Force or use local law enforcement tip-submission options.
