A months-long investigation into suspected drug distribution in the Main Avenue area of Hagerstown has resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old Hagerstown man.
Washington County Narcotics Task Force investigators say Ahmadje McMahan was observed distributing drugs on Wednesday, August 19th, while investigators were conducting surveillance near Gateway Crossing. Investigators then coordinated with Hagerstown Police to make the arrest.
McMahan reportedly fled on foot but was apprehended after a short pursuit. Once in custody, investigators say McMahan was found with approximately 58 grams of crack cocaine, 136 capsules of fentanyl, various pieces of drug paraphernalia, and nearly three-thousand dollars in cash.
McMahan was taken to the Washington County Detention Center and charged with numerous drug possession and drug-related offenses. He remains in custody.
