Leesburg Police have arrested three people following an investigation into alleged fraudulent credit card activity at a Best Buy on Potomac Station Drive.
Police responded to the store Friday, August 28, around 7 p.m. after employees reported three individuals using multiple credit cards with different names. During the investigation, officers received a report from a resident whose credit card had just been fraudulently used at the store. Police determined that transaction was connected to the investigation.
A search of the suspects’ vehicle turned up several stolen credit cards and thousands of dollars in merchandise believed to have been fraudulently purchased.
Arrested were 25-year-old Leonard Roman of New York, 22-year-old Walinton Castillo Rosario of New York and 21-year-old Jeury Bol Villavicencio of Pennsylvania.
All three are charged with credit card fraud, conspiracy to commit fraud and credit card theft. They were taken to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and are being held without bond.
