A Gambrills man is being held without bond after Howard County Police charged him with manslaughter in connection with an altercation that left another man dead.
Thirty-two-year-old Jaylin McConnaughey was originally arrested August 28 and charged with assault after police say he struck 33-year-old Tevin Sesker of Lanham during a verbal dispute. The two men knew each other and were in the 8800 block of Greenwood Place in Savage when the incident occurred.
Police say Sesker fell to the ground and struck his head. He was taken to Shock Trauma in critical condition and later died from his injuries on September 1.
McConnaughey had been released on $10,000 bond but was taken back into custody September 2 after detectives added the manslaughter charge. He remains at the Howard County Detention Center without bond.
