A Sterling man will spend over a decade in prison for sexually assaulting a woman in her home in 2025.
Forty-six-year-old Yulf Silva was originally charged with rape, aggravated sexual battery and other offenses. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office investigated after the woman reported she had been assaulted by someone she knew.
According to evidence in the case, Silva and the woman consumed alcohol until she became intoxicated. Silva then sexually assaulted her twice.
Silva pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual battery in May. A judge sentenced him to 15 years in prison September 24th. He must also register as a sex offender for life.
