Two Hagerstown men are facing multiple charges after a shooting investigation Wednesday led to a police pursuit that ended in West Virginia.
Hagerstown Police responded around 12:26 p.m. September 30 to the 400 block of Sumans Avenue, where officers found evidence that a shooting had occurred.
Investigators identified a suspect vehicle and later located it in the 13000 block of Maugansville Road. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle at Salem Avenue and Indiana Avenue, but the driver fled, leading to a pursuit into West Virginia.
Police say Jacob Arroyo, 26, and Leviticus Ricks, 21, both of Hagerstown, were taken into custody. No one was injured.
Both men face four counts each of first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, along with firearm-related charges. Arroyo also faces numerous traffic charges.
Police say the incident appears to be isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active.
