A teacher at Horizon Elementary School in Loudoun County has been placed on leave after an alleged assault involving a student.
The sheriff’s office says 49-year-old Valerie Bowen is charged with assault and battery and was issued a summons. The School Resource Officer assigned to the school was notified of the alleged incident on October first.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation, which remains ongoing. Anyone with information about the case should contact the sheriff’s office at 703-777-1021.
