For one Montgomery County couple, the biggest Halloween surprise came without a costume or a candy bowl.
‘Robert and Linda’ are celebrating a 30-thousand-dollar Lottery win after Robert scratched a 30X Cash ticket at home. He was enjoying his Saturday morning coffee when he decided to check his tickets. One $5,000 prize turned into another, and another — until he found six of them, adding up to the ticket’s $30,000 top prize.
The Halloween fans later visited Lottery headquarters with masks in hand to celebrate their good fortune. The winning ticket came from the 7-Eleven on Gosnell Farm Drive in Boyds. The couple says they’ll use the money to help pay for their children’s education.
