A 25-year-old Wheaton man is dead, and a 31-year-old man is facing a first-degree murder charge following a stabbing in Montgomery County.
Police say David Fuentes was found with multiple stab wounds in a parking lot behind H-Mart on Georgia Avenue early Monday morning. Officers and emergency crews were called to the 12-thousand block of Georgia Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Fuentes was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.
Investigators determined Fuentes and 31-year-old Elder Blanco Zapata knew each other and had an argument that led to the stabbing. Zapata was arrested Monday by U.S. Marshals and Montgomery County Police after leaving his Rockville home. He is being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
