A Hagerstown man is behind bars without bond after police say he threatened a woman with a firearm.
Officers were called to a home at 31 Westside Avenue around 4 PM Thursday afternoon for a reported disturbance involving a gun. The woman told police the man inside the home had threatened her. Officers identified him as 20-year-old Jonathon Olalde-Montoya, who also had an outstanding warrant.
Police say Montoya made threats and went back inside, prompting negotiators to respond. Officers eventually took him into custody without incident. A search of the residence turned up the firearm. Montoya faces first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and multiple firearm-related charges.
