Start your engines, Frederick! One local man is heading to Miami with a chance to win a cool $1 million — and he’s already feeling like a winner.
Jeffely Pargo has made it to the final four in the Maryland Lottery’s NASCAR Powerball — The Chase promotion. He was randomly selected from more than 276,000 entries and has already collected $12,500 in prizes along the way.
Now, Pargo is off to NASCAR Championship Weekend in Miami, November 6-8, 2026. He and a guest will get airfare, a hotel, meals and VIP experiences.
Pargo says this will be his first NASCAR race, and he’s pretty excited.
“I already feel like a winner.”
But there’s still a million-dollar finish line. The winner will be selected in a live televised drawing November 8, shortly after 2 p.m.
And if Pargo gets the big check?
“I plan to take my fiancé on a big trip.”
