Drivers using the I-70 and I-81 interchange in Washington County should expect overnight traffic changes beginning Friday.
The Maryland State Highway Administration will close the right lane of westbound I-70 and close and detour the westbound collector-distributor lane starting at 8 p.m. November 6th. Crews will install concrete barriers, with the work expected to wrap up by noon November 7th, weather permitting.
Drivers going from westbound I-70 to either direction of I-81 should continue using Exit 24, then take eastbound I-70 Exit 26.
The new traffic pattern will remain in place through the next phase of construction.
