Fire Damages House In Brunswick

No injuries reported; some dogs in the house were safe.

Brunswick, Md (KM) No injuries were reported from a house fire in Brunswick on Wednesday afternoon.

Units from Frederick, Loudon and Jefferson Counties responded to 4 Concord Drive at around 1:30 PM, and saw smoke coming the attic area. The Rapid Intervention Dispatch was called to the scene to bring in more fire fighters.

The Frederick Scanner Facebook page says fire fighters were operating on the second floor to put out a small fire. Personnel operating in the basement found dogs inside kennels. The dogs were safe, and Animal Control Officers were called to the scene to take care of the canines.

Officials say the fire was brought under control by 1:45 PM, and declared our before 2:00 PM They say the fire was confined to the attic and second floor, and there was no extension.

Crews performed ventilation of the house.
