Two Juveniles Arrested And Charged With Multiple Armed Robberies In Montgomery County

A 14 and 15-year old are in custody in connection with three armed robberies in Bethesda.

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division have arrested and charged a 14 and 15-year-old with three armed robberies that occurred between July 8 and 10 of 2025 at the Geste Beer & Wine store in the 4800 block of Edgemoor Lane in Bethesda.

On Tuesday, July 8, at approximately 4:57 p.m., 2nd District officers responded to the location for an armed robbery.

The investigation by detectives has revealed that the male suspects entered the store, threatened an employee with an implied firearm, stole an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and left the scene.

On Wednesday, July 9, at approximately 9:43 p.m., the same suspects entered the store, threatened an employee with an implied handgun, took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and left the scene.

Detectives reviewed the surveillance footage of the store and nearby metro station and obtained a description of the suspects.

On Thursday, July 10, at approximately 2:35 p.m., officers from the 2nd District Central Business-District Team were proactively patrolling the 4800 block of Edgemoor Lane when they observed two juvenile males, who matched the description of the suspects, at the Geste Beer & Wine store.

When the suspects attempted to steal money from the cash register, officers entered the store and placed them under arrest.

During the course of the investigation, detectives confirmed that the suspects also committed the other two armed robberies at the store on July 8 and 9.

The teen suspects were charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count each of robbery. This case was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services, and both are being held at a youth facility.
