Pikesville, Md (KM) Last Saturday was a busy time for state troopers who patrol Interstate 70 in Howard, Frederick and Washington Counties.
During a 24-hour period, State Police say troopers issue 233 citations and warnings, and made five arrests for driving under the influence. They also say one trooper from the Hagerstown barrack stopped four drivers in a 40-minute period who were traveling over 89 miles per hour..
Authorities urged drivers to slow down, drive sober and stay alert when behind the wheel.
