Police in Montgomery County are warning drivers to be cautious after arresting a man accused of pretending to be one of their own
Frederick, Md. (DG) – Montgomery County Police say a 67-year-old man is facing charges for pretending to be an officer.
Investigators arrested Alejandro Zunca after learning he allegedly conducted traffic stops in a neighboring jurisdiction. Now, detectives are concerned he may have done the same in Montgomery County.
Authorities are asking anyone who may have been stopped or approached by Zunca while he was posing as law enforcement to contact police at 240-773-5958. They stress that callers can remain anonymous, and their information could help the investigation.
