$2,500 Reward Is Being Offered In Washington County After Cats Were Found Shot

All of the cats had been shot with steel razor-tip blowgun darts.


Frederick, Md. (DG) – Authorities in Boonsboro are investigating a disturbing case of animal cruelty after seven cats were found dead or injured.

The Humane Society of Washington County says all of the cats had been shot with steel razor-tip blowgun darts. The incidents happened in the area of Park Hall Road and Amod Reeder Road.

Investigators are asking neighbors and businesses to review security camera footage dating back to September 6th and share any suspicious activity. A reward of $2,500 is being offered for information that leads to charges and a successful prosecution in the case.
